It is hard to believe that German photographer Matthias Heiderich is self taught. His composition, use of colours and ultimately the subject matters he chooses are an insight into a purely natural talent. His approach to minimalist landscapes creates an air of solitude, almost to the point that it feels as if you are there, taking the picture yourself. His coverage of the German countryside is extensive, providing an insight into a land that is both beautiful and desolate, colourful and bleak. Check out more of his work here.
